SimLab is a multidisciplinary research unit that provides teaching in the Information Networks Degree Programme at Aalto University, School of Science, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. The core of SimLab is a virtual collaborative innovation environment for business processes, physically constructed in Innopoli 2, Otaniemi, Espoo.
Professor Riitta Smeds has founded and led SimLab from its beginnings in 1998. SimLab conducts multidisciplinary research projects in the field of networked business processes and business models, with a special emphasis on collaborative development and innovation.
